Day 1 - Friday

After school ends head to the train station with your friends for your overnight sleeper train to XiAn. You may pick up your train tickets from the Beijing Buddy office in Wudaokou on Thursday.

Day 2 - Saturday

Wake up as you arrive into the XiAn train station. Meet your local XiAn guide and hop on the bus for a morning visit to the Terracotta Warriors, one of the greatest archeological treasures in the world. There are over 7,000 life-sized figures at the site, as well as realistic portraits of the soldiers. A hangar constructed over the site allows visitors to walk around on platforms to view the figures. The morning is the best time to get there to avoid crowds.

After the warriors head back to XiAn city center and check into the hotel. The rest of the day is free for your own exploration. You may choose to roam the Muslim quarter with its market stalls and food stands or cycle around the ancient city wall.

Day 3 - Sunday

Free day for your own exploration. Here are some suggestions for ways to spend the day:
1) visit the Shaanxi Museum which has a rich collection of central Chinese artifacts
2) visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the Tang Dynasty in 652 C.E., the pagoda is a masterpiece of Chinese Buddhist architecture with its elegant shape showing the artistic eye of the ancient Chinese.
3) Visit the ancient Bell Tower situated in the center of the old city.
4) Get a dumpling dinner. XiAn is famous for its dumplings.

In the afternoon meet your guide and driver at the hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight to Beijing. On arrival in Beijing service ends.
